Welcome to UHH. Beaches can be fun at times. Nice photo. Remind me of the 2 times I went to Florida when I was younger.

Thank You!!! That was taken with a Canon DC40 Camcorder. I don't have any real equiptment yet. Just found an old Canon EOS 10S, a zoom lens 28-70 and an 80-200 lens. Think I will be able to do much with those?

There are still quite a few UHH members here that still shoot film cameras... Though by far the digital camera users out weight the film users by a big number. The Canon EOS 10s is a decent camera for one that was released in the early 90's. The 28-70 Zoom is a decent quality midrange lens While the 80-200 falls into what is classified as a cheapie or consumer kit lens ...Unless it happens to have an "L" after the 80-200 if it does then it is a very high quality lens. Either way you can certainly have fun with them .. Happy shooting.

Welcome to the forum, Sandy B(each?) :)

Excellent shot - especially considering it came from a camcorder. I've found most camcorders produce sub-standard still shots. Either you've got a good one or you know how to utilize your equipment. (I'm suspecting the latter).

Either way - what equipment you use is a minor factor in the end product - it's more the person behind the equipment that makes the shot. Keep up the good work.

Thanks to everyone for the great comments. As for Travlman46, for what I have invested in my new, old Canon EOS 10S and my lens, I can afford to have some fun. Would you believe $6.00 at a Goodwill? Can't wait to get some film and start shooting!!!

Great price, start off with black and white film. Cheaper to process. But most of all, have fun.
