After twenty eight years of wearing my favorite boots I was in the process of tossing them when my wife made a suggestion.
Why not make a planter out of them. They still look good!
So what you see here is what you get. What do you think?

this planter sits just outside our front door in the Seniors Citizens housing
the boot is filled with heavy rocks and dirt
I like it, but think you should plant the other one too!
Thank you Tracy...I was surprised how simple it was to do. With the next one I may make more port holes and yes that is my plan. Do it again I always say!

So, now that you've given up your cowboy boots, what are you going to be when you grow up?
Nice shots, clever idea.
Richard..My plan is to be a computer expert and travel around the country side showing my friends how to make their lives easier. With me wearing only one boot! LOL
Take care my friend and thanks for the comments.

Your wife is the ultimate recycler!
Yes...SANDS...but she hasn't recycled me as of yet. A few trys but no cigars. She loves me with my boots off!

Usually I wouldn't post a picture on someone else's post, but here is another use for Cowboy Boots, if you don't have room for another planter. LOL

Well, that's a cool idea too!
Hey MadMax...You know that is a great idea. Here in the senior citizen apartments there is an elderly gentleman in his late 80's that is into bird feeders while his wife is into gardening. Perhaps I can check with him and place my other boot up on a long pole and make a few cuts into the side.May have to place a tin or copper roof over the top anything to make it look a little nicer. We do not have any coverage such as a tree or bushes
We shall see. Thanks
and you can post anything in my corner at anytime.
