Yesterday was a great bird day. I saw my first hummingbird of the season, an Indigo Bunting AND an Oriole...all in my backyard. The hummingbird comes every spring/summer but I have never had a Bunting or an Oriole. I got a photo of the Bunting but it's not too good since it wouldn't sit still for long and then flew into the woods. But I got some decent ones of the Oriole. Had to take them fast before he flew away. I'm betting they are both just passing through in migration, but it would be nice if I could see them again!
Wow, what a colorful little fellow. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful shots they are such beautiful birds I’m in Minnesota and just getting them to come in my backyard been trying the last couple years.

Ha! Had a similar experience yesterday. First hummer of the season and first Oriole. For several years the Orioles were, indeed, just a stopover. We always fed them and for whatever reason about 5 years ago they decided to stay and we've been enjoying them ever since. On my way to the store to get some grape jelly.
Nice images. Have as get yet to my first oriole but the stage is set. vz
