Johnny, thank you for showing off you newest import.

I still have some older Canon lenses and need to get an adapter to give them a try. Thanks to you, Angela and others who have spiked my interest.

Greg

Greg I have a PRO OPTIC lens adapter which I use on my canon FD lenses. Works very well. I got mine from Adorama. Paid around 49.99 for it....Rich

WOW!!! Love them all, Johnny and that gorgeous bokeh!!!
Can you share where a person could buy one and if it would fit on a Canon!!
I'm finding my Helios is not creating that beautiful bokeh like these!!

Thank you much Angela!!!!

#1 I bought it on e-bay, Do not buy one till I see it first, I have studied these old lenses for years and know what to look for.
#2 it is a M42 mount, you already have a adapter.
#3 your Helios 44-2 is a copy of this lens, I think you need to give it a chance, When I get a new lens I will shoot it for 3 weeks, I shot 150 shots today with it just to learn what it will do and want do. Most people will just shoot one for one day, that want cut it.
#4 I was using a full frame Sony a7rII, it will make some difference in the way the Image will turn out over a crop sensor camera.
#5 here is a shot with a Helios 44-2 on a Canon ( I did not take this picture ) Just to show you I know your lens will do it, you can't learn this over night.

Thanks so much, Johnny for your honest input!!! When I bought the Helios, the adapter came with it, I never tried taking it off... but you are right, I need to play with it again and see what it can do... and hope I fall in love with it again!!!
...and this image taken with the helios is wonderful... I'm guessing the subject has to be far away from the background, just like with the lensbabies to get the full effect!

Enjoy the weekend!!
