Spring has been very slow to come to Southwestern New Hampshire, so my wife and I took advantage of a beautiful day to drive a few miles across the river to the small, artsy City of Brattleboro, Vermont. We walked around downtown, hung out at the homeless encampment, and enjoyed the reactions of both people and cats to the giant bubble machine that someone had set up on a downtown rooftop. This is a town with a lot of galleries, antique stores, cafes, bars, and a photo center, well worth a visit. Our photographic viewpoints are so similar that I often have to check the EXIF shutter count to see who took it. All photos on one of our two Nikon D3200s, lens and exposure information is in the titles.
I hope you enjoy our views - please feel free to make comments or suggestions.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks! It certainly has its own funky atmosphere and vibe. A significant homeless population comes there because the people are kind and the city provides shelter and food. A significant number of artists, writers, and general "old hippies" come there for the supportive vibe. Well worth a visit.

By the way - these are the first photos I've ever published on the Hog. And Michelle and I bought our first DSLR (A D-50 with kit lenses), less than two years ago. From our crop sensor results to date, I'm not seeing the need to go full frame, especially on our budget. It's more the cost of the glass than the bodies. We've got a pretty nice assortment, and unless we suddenly get into bird photography, I think we'll be happy for a while.
Also, as best I can tell, Art Building, Coffee and Bubbles, Crank, No Escape, and Still No Band are my shots. The others are the work of my lovely wife, a/k/a "The chick with the blue hair..." at the moment.
