The sharping tool didn't bother me as much as the constant use of periods. I found myself having to reread the post a few times looking for a complete sentence.

Get them Dennis ! Can you find the 28 errors in agillot's post?

Sorry but it wasn't worth it to count every error. I said I had trouble reading it because I had to get through every period. I didn't go into this trying to be an ass about it.

Yes I know Mark will probably tell me I should have a comma after, Sorry. I disagree.

I wonder if and when someone will go after Pablo8 for mentioning, Sharping rather than sharpening.

Since we're doing grammar...
"Remember too I did say I am not perfect". There should be a comma after too. Remember too, I did say...

Commas are very important. There's a bit difference between...

Let's eat, Grandma. and
Let's eat Grandma

Correct punctuation saves lives.

Yes, I know. As for the comma after the yes, I have been told that since it isn't a necessarily a clause it does not need a comma. Occasionally, depending on my thoughts of pronouncing the sentence in my mind while typing, I might put a period after the Yes.

Remember too I did say I am not perfect. But when I see an entire paragraph with periods intermittently placed where they should not be with no thought of complete sentences it makes it hard for me to read since most of us look for the period signifying the end of a sentence.

Thanks Mark for the constructive criticism. I appreciate it.

Is there a 'Sharping' tool in Picasa? Or, perhaps Canon images need 'Sharpening', but Nikon images do not need 'Sharping'.

Try reading texts from a young person. They don't believe in punctuation anymore.

Don't see a problem here with punctuation. Social media makes us lazy when it comes to grammar. Gonna work on improving my own posts. Not really. Much easier to write in short sentences....except I sometimes use....when I ought to use something else. Got it? Even find myself using your instead of you're. And spellcheck isn't much help. My brian know how to spell but my figner doesn't.

Picassa is really easy to use and is very good for some application. I use it to store all my photos. If I want to do some serious post processing, I move the photo to Luminar 2018...which I love. Picassa is great for basic stuff...lightening and darkening photos, adding print, straightening the horizon but for the nitty gritty, I love Luminar. And it's not expensive...$70 or so, I think.

The comma key is next to the period key. Easy to type the "." instead of the ",". BTW: You missed a comma after the word, "Yes".

Need help. When I shoot pictures with my Canon SX50. which I edit in Picasa. I am able to use the sharpening tool on my pictures. When I use my Nikon 5300 and use the sharping tool it will not work. Question is why?

Faststone Image Viewer is a free downloadable image editor and organizer with far more tools and capabilites than Picasa ever offered,

you may want to download it and try your tests there. When I do post processing (rarely) I use Faststone image viewer installed on my computer, or the mobile version installed on a flash drive which will run from the USB port of any computer as an executable app running on the flash drive.

very versatile and runs as a shell program so it does not re-arrange your file orgnization unless you choose to do so!!!

Faststone image viewer also has a downloadable PDF 89 page tutorial which is very helpful. Print it out and really get excellent help on Faststone image viewer.

All this is free and easy to use. Kicks Picasa's A__, which is NLA and no support from Google!

Just wanted to add that FastStone free version is less than 7 mb to download. Lots of features packed into such a small program.

If you use Canon cameras you should use Canon software, i.e. Digital Photo Professional. It's free and download from Canon USA website. You'll need the product code of your camera.
