Inspired by Jederick, Luen and others (such as Cany who recently joined), I hoped to record some pictures that captured the disappearing West (particularly Utah). On my way to Bryce Canyon this week, I spotted an old spread that was quickly becoming part of our history. These shots are my attempt to do that.

Hope you've got time to take the long way home; outskirts of places like Tropic and Cannonville and Henrieville have tons of 'disappearing west' places I bet you'd like. And Bryce isn't too awful, either. Enjoy!

From you, Cany, that is very encouraging. Our trip to Bryce was on a tight time frame, but I hope to roam more during the summer. Just bought new gear. Bryce posts (if worthwhile) will follow.

Very nice Mike. I especially like the first one. It would probably look great in B&W and a sepia finish might give it the "old west" look.
