The farmer and his wife was coming home from church in their mule pulling wagon. The old mule stopped and wouldn't move. The farmer got out the whip and whipped the mule. A little way up the road he stopped again. The farmer said that's twice and got out and whipped the mule again. A little the mule stopped again. The farmer got out and pulled out his gun and shot the mule dead. His wife said you shouldn't have done that. He looked her in the eye and said "That's once".
