Blaming multiple front grass root resistance to Trump on the Russians is just a little too convenient.

On Colbert the other night Comey made the case that Trump should not be impeached. Rather, the American voters must step up, take responsibility and vote this dangerous grotesque back to where he came from.

The problem with that is three more years of Trump. Impeachment, or criminal charges, would be quicker.

We won’t get impeachment in this congress until and unless Trump begins dragging republicans down.

The mid-terms have the making of a disaster for republicans.

He was asked under oath if any similar incidents had happened while he was POTUS.

Billy Jeff confessed, settled the Jones case, paid fines and was disbarred on his last day in office.

While I deplore Trump, I do not favor impeachment. Two reasons: 1. you get Pence who is dangerous; 2. Trump is the best reason to vote Democratic in 2018 and 2020 - a matter of election strategy. Democratic objective is the recover government and using every likely tool is reasonable.

I suppose one needs to balance the danger of Trump in office against the danger of removing him from office. Not a real easy task.
