With great power comes great responsibility, or so says Madame P. And after saying so to the Colonel, who was about to meet with the Martian to reveal what he'd learned from Omi, she apologized, whispered a quick incantation, and *POOF* turned him into a frog.

She headed straightway to the Martian's office and told him that, during his interrogation, the Colonel discovered Omi had been working as a double agent, had only passed along to the Nanookians disinformation regarding the upcoming invasion of Rhode Island. His feeling was that Omi should be immediately pardoned, returned to duty, and, in fact, given a commendation and a raise in salary for her efforts on the Ministry's behalf.

The Martian appeared dubious, and asked why the Colonel hadn't come himself to explain the situation.

She said that Omi, in exchange for her own information, had learned of Nanookian plans for an impending attack on the Northern Division's massive Catnip Works factory complex. The Colonel, as commander of Seal Team 9-Lives, felt he would be urgently needed back home, sent his apologies for the hasty exit and would be sending a full report when time permitted.

The Martian asked if Omi had revealed who had set up the operation, who her controller in the Ministry was. Madame P shrugged, said the Colonel, if he knew, hadn't told her, but it would undoubtedly be in his report.

The Martian looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded, said Omi could be returned to duty, and that he'd write up a commendation for her. But no raise.

Madame P left his office, an odd smile on her face.
With great power comes great responsibility, or so... (show quote)

I've been away for sometime and haven't stayed up to date with The Ministry and Madam P but so glad to hear she is over her illness of a while back.

Odd smile but a beautiful one too! Gorgeous portrait Randy. I wonder what she has up her sleeve no doubt time will reveal. Keep your head down, stay alert and mop those floors.

Thanks, John. Good to see you back here again. I've been too busy to post much, so you probably haven't missed a lot, lol. Madame P is feeling tip-top and looking good again, so the surgery and year of misery following was worth enduring. I'm pleased you enjoyed seeing this shot of her.

Thanks as always for your kind words for her, and thanks for your visit, always very much appreciated!

Thanks, Sylvia. She's involved in this intrigue up to her neck, but I've no clue what she's up to. The Martian clearly suspects nothing, and while sometimes ignorance is bliss, it's also dangerous to be ignorant. So we'll have to wait and see what kind of game she's playing. I, of course, trust her implicitly, maybe mistakenly, but she must have her reasons.

Meantime, yes, the mopping never ends... ; )

Thanks as always for your kind words and visit, I'm always grateful!

Thanks, Ron. Glad you enjoyed this one. Be sure to have Tippit keep a close eye on the Catnip Works--it's just possible there's trouble afoot, lol!

And happy to share what I'm doing with these shots, if you get the urge, lol.

Thanks for the kind words and your visit, always enjoy and appreciate them!

Madame P certainly looks good in this wonderful portrait. It's nice that she's back in action and not turning everyone into frogs. Please don't get too used to feeling green. The dietary options are not wonderful.

Lol! Thanks, Vicki. She hasn't turned me into a frog in some months now. Whether I've been a good boy or she's just out of practice, I couldn't say. Still, I'm not going to push my luck!

Thanks for the laugh and your kind comments, always very much appreciate them!
