Does anyone have experience using a circular polarizer on the Nikon 24 f/1.8 G lens? As a general matter I have read to stay away from polarizers on wide angle lens--particularly with blue skies. Thank you.

Yes, experimentally only. Wide angle lenses and polarizers don't produce ideal results. Uneven darkening of the sky.

If you have a high quality CPL, no I have not see uneven skies. What I do see all the time is the petals of the lens hood vignetting the corners.
