I am in the market for a battery grip for my Canon 80D. PM me if you have one to sell.
I bought a battery grip for my canon on Amazon for less than $40. It has the IR remote, and all the remote buttons on the grip. I have been very satisfied with it, and a fraction of the cost of a Canon grip. Just a thought.
Glad you’re good with it but I know a few people who have not been happy with the non-Canon battery grips.
Amazon has a great return policy if you are not happy with it. I know it's not Canon, but it is about $100-140 savings, and you're not stuck with it if you don't like it. Either way, happy shooting!

That savings is compared to buying a new one. I agree a new one is over priced. Let me know what brand you bought and send me a pic of what it looks like mounted on your camera and I'll take a look. Thanks!

I have this on my 80D
Works perfectly
Here's the reason I would not purchase this grip.
"Finish: Some might be put off by the slightly more rubbery feel of the grip surface compared to the Canon version, but one must make allowances for wanting to go cheap.
Operation: The buttons for use in vertical mode have a slightly different feel to them, definitely not Canon quality, but forgivable for the price. My main gripe is the unit's main wheel, which is plastic instead of rubber, is noisy on operation, and feels like it could be vulnerable to failure. It is accurate, however, in returning the same stop increments that the Canon main wheel does when changing shutter speed, for example."

I wouldn’t say Canon is over priced if you want a original one you’ll sped the money without hesitation. The quality is of the best the electronics are designed to work with the 80D perfectly. However if you don’t want to spend a lot of money that’s okay too, I doubt anyone will be willing to part with an original Canon battery grip. Good luck on your endeavors finding one!

Negotiating for one right now so if anyone else has one to sell they need to get to me soon.
My camera is a 60D, so the grip is a little different than the one for your camera. Here is the link for the one I purchased:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N0DFVLH/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm sure they would have a model for the 80D as well. Not trying to keep you from getting a Canon model, if that's what you want, just giving you an alternative. I have been very happy with the way mine looks, feels & functions. I will try to attach a couple of photos from my phone for you to see. Have a great day!
I don't know why, but UHH is not allowing me to attach a photo. I have tried several times and just keep getting a error message. I will try again later if you really want to see it.
I noticed when reading the reviews there are a lot of little problems. Thanks for the input.
