Thanks alot. I love this feedback and input. I am not closed to the a6500 but I am strongly leaning toward the a77ii.

Does anyone shoot with this. Do u like it? Pros and cons? Is it versatile? I mainly do wildlife and landscape; however, from time to time I do shoot Seniors, families, and weddings( in a way still wildlife!!!)
Thanks folks

I currently use Sony a350 which is a dinosaur and needs replaced as sensor has spots on photos. It has been cleaned 1x already.

I purchased the a6500 in June of last year as a more convenient travel camera. I was using a Canon 70d and found it too big to drop into my briefcase or coat pocket. Did a lot of reading and research and decided that the a6500 offered the main things I was looking for: APS-C sensor, 24mp, in-body stabilization, electronic viewfinder. To my surprise, I found myself taking more photographs (because I had the camera with me more) and better images, more in focus. I haven't used the Canon since and have gone on to purchase the a7riii. I would say that I use both about the same since they each have their place in my world. Example; I was on the pier in Ventura Ca this weekend with my wife and wanted to do some night images. The a6500 has a mode called 'Hand-held Twilight' which takes three images and combines them in low-light situations. It is absolutely amazing. My a7riii does not have this feature and I would have needed a tripod which I didn't want to carry. I have used adapted Canon glass with the Sigma MC-11 converter and this works fine. I also am building my collection of Sony glass. I personally love this camera. Good luck in your search!

Long time Minolta-Sony user. I originally got my a6000 to use old film lenses but like you, I find myself using it as much as my a99ii. I love the APS Sony offers for it like ND filters, star trails and cel phone remote. It has become my "go to" travel camera because it fits in my pocket with the PZ16-50 and the 55-210 in the other pocket. If the a6500 had been available, I would have gotten it. Happy shooting
