First what do you think about this photo? And...What kind of bird is this?
An out of focus black capped chickadee.

To me the photo has a humorous feel. The bird is a nuthatch.

A fun shot of a nuthatch bomb
I like that the tree is (relatively) in focus; it adds to the sense of speed of the little bird.
The camera catches what the eye cannot see. In this case, the nuthatch, probably a white breasted nuthatch, has his wings folded back to his body as if they are at rest when in reality, they are beating.
Nice catch!

I like it for its uniqueness.

Oh my God....LOL!!! This place is indeed unique... Everyone is a star! LOL! I just noticed your ironic screen name....artBob! LOL!
I hope you don't lol too much—that's so ordinary. BTW, do you how many "great" (in focus, etc.) bird, flower, sunset pix are received for juried shows? Technique can be learned by almost anyone. Vision is a struggle.
Oh, you are right about my name. Hate it myself, just had to quickly come up with something when I registered. Was going to change it, but thought, "Ya know, IDEAS are more important than personal stuff."

Buddy....the only thing ordinary thing here is your "work". Ive seen it. Its NOT anything even close to been called art. Its mediocre and bad. Technique can be learned by almost anyone? Well why you haven't? You are in desperate need for a reality check. Of course in this place you will continue to expand your delusion. Honesty is a rare concept here. So, yes your "work" and your misplaced "artist" ego deserves a few LOLs. You think that a bad....and a very bad image of a piece of gras on the ground is art? Man...oh man.

Hi, Chefneil,
That wee bird is a nuthatch in the midst of a brief, rapid dive that is a characteristic component of their incredibly rapid aeronautics in getting around amongst trunks and branches.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve tried to catch that particular momentary feature of the nuthatch’s flight...and have yet to catch it.
Yeah, it’s a bit “soft” but don’t you dare discard it until you get a better one.
Forget the nay-sayers...it’s a keeper if you are a birder! Images like this have value that transcends “photographic perfection”!
Good job!

You certainly spew words [might want to check for grammar], but you do not seem to have any specifics in terms of solid critiques. Injecting insults and personalities is a black hole in the spirit of this group.
