Did you go to any of the local winery's as well? Very nice photos of the glen

Looks like a great place to shoot. How far is it from Ct. As I too am from Ct. Newington.

It's normally about 5+ hours. You also have Corning Glass, Letchworth State Park, The Grand Canyon of the East (Wellsboro, PA) and Keuka Lake in the area. Bath is my hometown, so I enjoyed all these venues when I was young. Now I'm starting to realize their beauty as an adult. ENJOY

I''ve been in the wine business for a number of years. I used to work for Taylor and Great Western. For the last 15 years, I have represented wineries for all over the world. Started to wind down and do some traveling while enjoying my new photography hobby.

Yes, I understand that some people think of the racing, but if you have not ventured through the Glen, you are missing some great works of nature. In the past I spent time awarding the champagne to the winner of the Glen 500 (years ago) and spent time at the paddock. Great track, lots of fun.

PS - Great Western used to have a McLaren Can Am Series car in the early 70's.

One of my favorite places for photography. I have 2 pix of Watkins Glen hanging on my wall. There are also, so many places up there for waterfalls. Not so much down here.

Can't forget Cayuga and Seneca lakes when it comes to the wineries. We go to the area every year from Md. if it were the late 20's, we would be accused of bootlegging. Normally bring back 5 - 7 cases of New Yorks finest!!!!!!

Thank you for the info, I will check it out online. Myself and a few friends have been touring the Ct. Wine trail, fun thing to do on a Sunday. I believe we have done 13 so far, we went to both of the Wallingford vineyards this past weekend, just wish the weather was a little better for pictures.

Me too. I never knew there was a river in the area...but then again, I've never been there.
