A beautiful picture too! It looks to be in the genus Lycia. Maybe the stout spanworm, or a related species.

What did you use for gear to capture these excellent shots ??? It looks like you used a flash. What lens ?? ~FiddleMaker

nikon d610 with a sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro,yes i use a flash with a diffuser for every shot

Thanks for you reply. I may want to try something like this before I end up as a pile of ashes in an urn. I have a D750 with an SB-700 flash. Would have to acquire a close-up lens, however.
