Sharpening vs Clarity

Several days ago, a thread on UHH led to a discussion of use of "sharpening" and/or "clarity" during post-processing. The several comments led me to find some information, that may be useful:

There is another seminal work By Jeff Schewe, one off the Adobe luminaries, entitled, Image Sharpening: Making it Really Sharp.
He and Bruce Fraser wrote the definite book on sharpening. Certainly worth a read.
