Left my father-in-law's apartment tonight and noticed a gorgeous full moon and a very interesting tree in his parking lot. Decided tonight would be the perfect time to try some night photos, so I ran home to get my camera and tripod. By the time I got back there was a light haze over the moon, so not as clear as when I first looked up but figured I might as well give it a try since I was already there. WAY more challenging than I thought it would be and I will need to do a lot more practicing! Honestly have no idea what settings I used on these images because I was all over the place trying to get the right exposure, not to mention bouncing between TV,AV, M, and auto to try and get at least one shot hahaha! Ended up with a couple of interesting images, so I thought I would share :) Tips for night time shooting welcomed!!

All are darned good but the last appealed to me the most. Great job, Larry
Nice Christy, I like the first and third and last. All have a mystical appeal to them.

Wonderful series, Christy! Very, very well done. I enjoyed each and everyone of them.
Great shots. The haze might of actually helped.
Next time try iso 100-400 with your widest f stop & either spot meter for the moon or the sky to the side of the moon ( try both on a tripod of course) & adjust your shutter as needed. Probably would have to do this in manual mode.
Have fun , Tom
Thanks everyone for the nice comments! And Tom, thank you for the shooting tips. I will try your suggestions next time ..... After I learn how to meter the light!
I like the last one best because of it's composition. Good work!
Like the last one best because of it's composition. Love the overall mood. Good work.
Thanks Wayne. The tree branches are really cool. My first attempt at night photos and i was struggling! That image is my favorite too because more of the tree was visible. Thanks for commenting!

They were all good. I really liked the misty effect of the moon. You were trying different things, and you got some good shots. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing.👍👍
