Before leaving the old town of Marbella, Spain we crossed over the main street into a colorful plaza area & saw a few statues by Salvador Dali. We then boarded our bus for a visit to Puerto Banus by the Sea, a 5 star hotel resort area that made for some nice photos. The only money we spent was on some ice cream! Bob

Thank you Cwilson341......for finding this an "excellent series!" Happy you found it to have an "enjoyable sense of place!" I like that! It was fun sharing this summer like look even though we are still in the chills of Spring! (I'm in the midst of catching up on something that was left unfinished.) Very much appreciated, Bob

Thanks Rolk, Thanks for finding the time to catch this one that I'm sneaking in here. I know you've been extra busy with several of the enjoyable Challenges lately. You did a great job with yours! This was a wonderful experience as we took a Transatlantic cruise from Tampa to Barcelona....that took 14 days! Just trying to do some catch up here since a life interruption prevented me from completing this fantastic adventure.

A few minutes ago I checked the DOWNLOAD on the 1st picture (dancing waters) and it looks pretty cool! I almost got splashed! Much appreciated, Bob

Bob, first off, thank you for the kind words about my first challenge. I really appreciate that!

I finally talked my wife of 30 years into taking our first cruise last October, which was an 11 day cruise to the southern Caribbean. I have to wonder how many days you were "at sea" going from Tampa to Barcelona, and then how much time you had on shore?

I was somewhat disappointed by the "shore time" we had, which was limited, so, right now I'm trying to convince my wife we need to do a river cruise like the Danube or Rhine....I just hope it doesn't take me another 30 years to convince her!

Take care, Bob, my friend, and I hope you and yours have a blessed Easter Holiday!

Thanks Rolk for asking a question about our trip. 1st.....let me say that I've taken 12 cruises. Shore time is probably always limited on any cruise. We also enjoy some of the Transatlantic crossings which offer more time aboard ship of course. The advantage......usually great pricing! On this one we extended our trip by taking a 3 day road trip from Indiana to Tampa (car rental) It was a 14 day crossing to Barcelona with 4 stops along the way. Our biggest stretch was 9 days at sea between Key West to Portugal. Upon arriving in Barcelona we spent another 3 days exploring before flying back home. Tip....we saved a lot money on the one way flight home by checking with Royal Caribbean vs the airlines directly.

We hope to do one of those river cruise someday also. Several of our friends have done them & some more than once. They all rave about it!

Happy Easter to you & your wife also Rolk. Bob

Some very good photographs here and what an affluent area it looks given the poor state of the nation.
Thank you again for sharing your trips.
You do seem to get around.
Well taken.

Thanks Leicaflex.....for checking this group out. Even though I showed that picture of what they called a 5 star hotel.....I was unclear as to whether it was open or perhaps under renovation. Didn't see a lot of activity around it. We did see other areas from the bus window that were of course far less affluent. Overall.....it was still beautiful! Always interesting to visit other countries outside the US. Makes one appreciate where we live. Glad you enjoyed this, Bob
