I’m asking a question about refurbished cameras. What do you guy think about them?
My thoughts is if it going to brake it all ready did and it’s been repaired dy a authorized dealer.
And it should be better than buying a used one.
Your troughts please.

Refurbished by the manufacturer and has his warranty is better than buying used.

I have bought refurbished with no issues.

You're incorrect in your understanding of refurbish. These are not repaired equipment. The screen capture comes from the Canon USA website and their description of the source of refurbished product offerings.

From digital cameras and lenses, to camcorders, printers, and more, our refurbished products showcase our dedication to product excellence. Shipped back to us as gently used or unboxed returns, our trained Canon technicians perform comprehensive quality assurance inspections, replacing any needed parts with genuine Canon equipment. Plus, all refurbished products are backed by our standard 1-Year limited warranty.

I purchased a new 80D when they first hit the street and two refurbished 80D's later and you can not tell the difference. The refurbished bodies looked and worked like brand new, and they cost several hundred dollars less.

Most persons on this site who have bought Refurb have had great success in doing so. I would think that you would want at least a 30 day return option and you would want to try out the camera extensively during those 30 days.

Canon camera warranty is 1 year, not 2. This applies to both new and refurbished. Canon support is good. I bought an EOS 80D refurb last August. Initially it appeared to be behaving erratically. Eventually I diagnosed the problem wasn't the camera but the supplied battery, the third party batteries I bought did not exhibit any problems. I called Canon and they shipped me a brand new battery immediately. Everything has been fine since. Buying the refurb saved me about $300 (~30%). That said, patience and timing is important, wait until there is a deal and that the item is in stock, the prices fluctuate significantly.

Good luck to the OP.

Standard Warranty from Canon refurbished or new is 1 year.

There are additional care plans you can purchase.

Nikon gives a 90 day warranty on their refurbished cameras and lenses. However, if you buy from certain venues, they will extend those 90 days to one year. Cameta Photo Shop comes to mind on extended warranty. Canon USA, gives you a one year warranty on refurbished cameras. Unlike Nikon USA.

If I could turn back the calendar, I would buy a refurb D750 rather than a new one.
