Great shot. LOVE IT

Thanks, Marion. The Martian strictly adheres to the Constitution of the United States (when it suits him), and cruel and unusual punishment are forbidden. The Dark Ladies tried every trick they knew--good witch/bad witch, hypnosis, catnip in her tea, you name it--but Omi wouldn't say a word. Just sat there licking herself.

The Colonel is made of sterner stuff, doesn't always observe the niceties, and I expect he'll get right to the bottom of Omi's betrayal in short order.

Thanks for the kind words and visit, always very much appreciated!

Beautiful cat and portrait, Randy!! He looks like a love!!!

Thanks, Angela. This is the feral I adopted six weeks or so back, if you'll note the notched ear. He is the sweetest kitty I've had here in many years (of course he appears quite stern in this shot, but he's a marshmallow...).

Glad you enjoyed the shot, and thanks as always for the kind comments and visit, they're much appreciated!

Beautiful image, Randy. You're the master of feline portraits.

Thanks for the kind words, John. A cooperative subject never hurts, lol! He's a very sweet kitty, and delighted to be inside, fed, and out of the cold. So he's tolerating my photographic efforts, at least for now. Glad you enjoyed this shot of him.

Thanks again for the compliment and your visit, always very much appreciated!

I'm in Love!!! What a gorgeous, sweet kitty! I'm so glad he's been accepted by the rest of your gang of chaos. I feel a little bad about Rhode Island. Somehow they just sit there on the border and seem docile and inconspicuous, yet (I've heard), they are a feisty bunch. Perhaps they need shaken up by an invasion.

Well done portrait, Randy. Absolutely beautiful. Eyes sparkle! And the aqua blanket really enhances her lovely fur color.

Wonderful portrait of the Colonel, Randy. I think he wanted everyone to think the notched ear was a battle injury!

Randy, you should be teaching classes in color theory. This one has got to be the most beautiful kitty portrait ever. I can almost feel the softness of kitty fur.

Thanks, Bob. The Colonel is one tough cookie. He'll get the goods on Omi and brook no nonsense. She's already been Mirandized, and has declined Bumpy's legal services. I think she's ready to spill her guts.

Thanks for the kind comments and visit, always very much appreciated!

Thanks, Carla. This not-so-little guy was hanging around my yard on and off for the last several months hunting, very skittish, couldn't get anywhere near him. The cold snap in early January made me feel so badly for him (he was clearly starving in the deep snow and cold) I started putting food out for him. After a couple of weeks of that, he let me get near enough to him to slip a cat bag over him and grab him up. Took him in to the clinic, bathed him, vaccines, flea stuff, etc. And sadly, FeLV/FIV tested him, positive for feline AIDS. So he's in a room by himself here at home, as the virus is contagious cat to cat.

But that said, he's also the sweetest kitty I've had in many years. A lap cat, purr purr purr, and don't put me down on the floor, lol!

Glad you enjoyed the shot of him, and thanks as always for your kind comments and visit, they're very much appreciated!

Were The Dark Ladies speaking english?

Thank you, Carol. This fellow apparently had a rough start in life, trapped and neutered (indicated by the notched ear) as a feral, then released. He would not have lasted long around here--too many coyotes. At least that's no longer a threat, and he has a home. Happy kitty.

Thanks for your very kind words and visit, always very much appreciated!

And a commanding Colonel he appears to be. A very commanding portrait indeed.
