Both landscapes are breathtaking. Great compositions and detail combined with awesome scenery! The Pika is cute as can be too! It makes a series more interesting to include both the scenery and some of the natives that live there.

Not the best in the world. If you are going to give us pictures of RMNP....why ruin it with pictures of birds? I can get those in my back yard?!

Thank you for your comment. I am glad you are able to photograph every species of bird from your own back yard. When i travel, i attempt to capture the natural history of the location since my background is in biological photography. Many of the parks were chosen to protect the habitats for specific species of wildlife and not for just the scenery.

My suggestion to you would be to visit your next park with a more open mind. Doing so will provide you with lovely glimpses of wildflowers, mammals, insects, reptiles, and of course you will have to put up with occasional birds as well.

I will be looking forward to your future posts. Thanks

Bozsik: I flew from Chicago to Denver last year. My main attraction was going to Red Rocks Amp. I went early in the day and was able to walk the amp and get on stage. Next was Pikes Peak/Garden of the Gods/Royal Gorge/Black Canyon/Colorado National Monument and a beautiful Maroon Bells. Completing my circle was RMNP. Great time. LOTS of pictures....no birds. Year before that was fly into LV and head straight to Grand Canyon then Horseshoe Canyon/Monument Valley and up to Utah for the 5 National Parks in a row. Then my last two days was LV at the Luxor. Little did I know at that time....but Mandalay Bay right across the street would be so famous. This year I again fly into Denver (Southwest miles) and head to the Black Hills/Custer St. Park/Mt. Rushmore/Sturgus/Needles Highway/Badlands. At no time did I take a picture of birds.
