It is one of the most spiritual places I have ever been. Beautiful photos.

Love the pic of the tree - big diff between 'posted' and 'downloaded'. Almost a bit of an 'HDR' feel but very well done. Nice, nice pic!

It is definitely a place where you can receive "power." I dream of going back.

Struck as I was by the sheer awesomeness of the place, I asked if they lived there, and said something lame like, 'I have to tell this to someone who lives here: this is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.' One said she did live there and nodded; the other replied that she lived just up the road in the community of Many Farms, but that she comes often to see her sister. After a brief pause, she continued "and we come here for Power." Cultural differences aside, it wasn't difficult to understand what she meant. Its part of why returning is good, from time to time.

Awesome shots, Cany143. Was especially struck by the first one, even though I am a big fan of B&W. The top shot, split right at the canyon/sky line looks like it would make two separate spectacular shots. Hope to get to see that one day before.... Have a great day....John

The first image is a stunner, all are excellent. Haven't been there for some time. Understand you can't hike down any more, but do intend to visit this fall. Thanks for sharing your story and images.

I like the first picture.

BTW, if you use brackets [ ] around the i and /i instead of the greater than and less than signs < > you would get the italics you wanted. 'canyon duh-shay.'
Being relatively new here I wasn't sure if you were aware of that.
