Anyone used it recently. 500 slides? That's a lot for the money.
I have had them do 1000 slides for me.
I was pleased. Your pictures are put on a CD and returned to you along with your
original slides. They will lighten up dark slides but no more editing. Takes awhile to
get them back.
I enjoyed your videos on Viemo. What edit software are you using?

I had 13 trays of 144 slides converted to JPG's and I am pleased with the results. Small orders are done in Oakland (?), large orders go together on pallets to India, that's why it takes longer. But it's safe, you can track your order on line. I saved a lot of money by not being in a hurry.
I’ve used them several times . They do a great job & are very reliable.
Mine went to India and took over two months. I was not satisfied with ScanCafe results which were not much better than the ones I did myself using a Wolverine that cost around $100. When done I was then able to sell the wolverine on eBay.

I had over 1000 slides done. Many were from the 50s. They did a fine job and at a reasonalbe price!

Thank you. Off topic, but it is Adobe Premiere Elements. PM or start a topic if you want more detail.
Back to the topic....
There have been similar topics. It is usually concluded that Epson scanners are very good, but slow. Other topics provide ways of using your camera to take digital pictures of slides. I tried it.
I don't have a macro lens. For Christmas my DW gave me an Olympus Tough TG-5, a rugged pocket sized point and shoot. It has a macro/microscope setting. I put an old Kodachrome on my tablet with a "lightbox" app open, my camera on a table top tripod, set the shutter to 2 second delay and pressed the button. Maybe not perfect, but amazing and quick.
Good results.
Watch for their "sales."
If you are not in a hurry you can use the outside of the US option which is less.
