Hello to all,
LeoDK here, I am a beginner in photography, Have taken photos throughout my life but with disposable cameras or my cell phone, recently I decided to update my self and get a real camera and some lenses, I was fortunate enough to get a canon rebel sl1 and 4 efs lenses (18-55mm, 18-135mm, 17-85mm, and a 55-250mm) for a great price. Total starter kit for sure. I am interested in doing landscape photography and some astrophotography, and since I have moved to Greece and have a lot of free time on my hands to practice and hopefully hone my skills as an aspiring photographer. I am grateful that I found this site, and get to learn from peers that have either been doing this for awhile professionally or other starters into the world of capturing life in pictures, like myself.

Welcome to the Hog, Leo. I think you're going to find this site enlightening and fun - sort of one-size-fits-all - because there are some incredible pros and beginners with everything in between. You'll also find a wealth of information on, and links to, anything photographically you're interested in. Don't be shy (I don't think that's a problem for you) and jump right in there. You'll find the "search" tab at the top of this screen which might be a good place to start. So many topics have been covered by this forum and can supply information even before you begin. When you do start, feel free to post any shots for evaluation and opinions/advice. Believe me you'll hear from the Hogs. I'd say that with your Rebel and that collection of lenses you've got the playing field covered.

Hi Leo, I've been to Greece once and I totally enjoyed the culture and the sites when there. I can't wait to go back again.
