I've never seen a hummingbird in the snow, so had to snap a few shots. I'm a bit disappointed with the outcome and need some advice as to what I can do better next time.

Please let me know your thoughts. If there's any information needed to assist with analysis, let me know.

Not a bad shot at all. If your not satisfied sith it , try spot focusing on the eye. We always toom the humingbird feeders down in the fall so they would head south. I never heard of them in weather like that. Nice capture.

Nice catch!!!! and we never take Hummingbird feeders down until we know the last has passed through for the season, they know when to move on. Keep shooting!!

It's a nice clear shot - personally, I'd crop it to get rid of the dead space on either side of the bird and the branch it's on.

Jennifer, Very unusual capture. Consider cropping it a Vertical with the snowy branch. That will give the Hummer more visual impact.

I was wondering if not using a single point focus was my issue. I had the AF in zone focus and the center 3 points were lit.

Thanks Sue, I will try the crop when editing. Wasn't quite sure which way to go on this one.

We were surprised to see a few were hanging around, especially in the snow and the wind. When I zoomed in on the eye, he looks quite put out- as if he's over the whole snow thing.
