God made AUTO for a reason. He wants us to take a picture and move on. He thinks if it takes more than 7 seconds to set up/take a picture....it's 5 seconds too long. Thats way so many "now day cars/cameras" have auto.

Proven risibly false by the photo in post #1 of this thread.

If you don’t want to learn photography, that’s OK ... just be honest about.

I hated school.....and at 69 it is still with me. I never wanted to learn manual cars....I never drove one. Could have bought a manual at any time during my life....but I never wanted to learn. I have a remote with my tv.....I could get up and change the channel each time....as with the voice....but choose to do it the "auto" way and use the remote. If "auto" on a camera was sooooo bad as I'm hearing here....why do sooooooooooo many people use it?

The answer to your original question is no, there is not a filter that will automatically give you the results as presented in the photo. By the way, God never made a mechanical camera, only humans do that. Keep your camera on auto and click away and I'm sure at least you will be happy with your results!!

It’s not that it’s inherently bad, but as I said you either want to learn the art of photography or you don’t.

Either answer is OK, if you want a high dollar point and shoot that’s cool with me.

OTOH if you want to be an artistic photographer with no effort, that’s not going to happen.

You mean nobody makes a space-time filter that alters the laws of physics?

That’s it, I quit!

This is my first wall fall ever and my first post. This is my second try at posting so hope more than a thumb nail shows up. I did minor edit with Luminar 2018. Thanks for all comments.

Hi Rob,
Overall this image is okay, definitely not a competition winner. Your composition is off The waterfalls is to much to the left when it's the theme of this picture. To me it should be a little towards the center. The bushes to the right is to dark and doesn't help the picture at all. I would recrop the image.

Rob,

I can't find the re-edit version. Can you try again, Mean while I added two waterfalls images. In the bottom image if you look towards the top of the image you can see what I mean by it being to dark thus losing detail.

I know it is not the nicest water fall but all I can get at this time of year due to much snow. Just started with ND filters and Luminar so Things will get better with some direction. Thanks for your help.

Rob,
I like the color version a lot better! What do you think. The waterfalls stands out more and is the focal point of the image.

I can bring the color out more but didn't want to over do it. I will get more waterfalls to play with and post. Luminar 2018 seems good so far just need to learn all it can do. Thanks a lot.
