Good one. At least the barn is being cared for. But.....I sure would not like to be 'on' that ladder. Won't he be surprised!!

Looks like a pretty tall extension ladder and it is retracted all the way. Probably the only way he could get that low to paint where he is working. A shorter ladder would have been better. Maybe he will have it a 45° angle or less when he gets even lower. That would make an interesting picture. 
If it was me, besides a shorter ladder I would use a paint roller or spray gun. A paint brush would suck on that much barn.

Great shot, hope he's painting 'Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco' on the side of his Red Barn...missing all those old Americana signs like that and Burma Shave dotting America
