It's Azalea Time in North Florida

Visited the Cummer Museum Gardens, Jacksonville, on St. Patrick's Day. The gardens got pasted during the hurricanes and the lower ones were under water and have not reopened to the public. Happy to report and show you that the upper gardens survived well and are in full Azalea bloom.

Beautiful! I think this winter suited the azaleas. They see to be even prettier than normal!

Thank you Carol, glad you like the pix. Why won't last long but they are glorious while they are here. The lower gardens are going to take some time to get back into shape as the were under several feet of water. Sad to see but I noticed they are getting flowers and shrubs ready to plant. I appreciate your comments.

Thank you for your kind comments AngelaK. As you can see in #2 the Cummer Museum is right on the St. John's River which is why it got flooded during the hurricanes. The bridge to the rear is one of the main ones crossing the St. John in Jacksonville.
