iPad duet editing graphics tablet.
I was kind of thinking about getting a wacom graphics tablet mainly for those fiddly local brushes, then i remembered I have duet for the ipad.
using it in screen mirror mode seems to be the easiest option it can be used for input so using a cheap tablet stylus i began to use it and honestly its not bad you can zoom up an area and do quite intricate work wobbling lines which i normally get using a mouse/ trackpad tended to be much less of an issue and drawing directly on the iPad screen is much easier than using the mouse. I tried it with affinity photo and lightroom and found it quite useful.
maybe its better to have pressure sensitivity or an ipad pro with "the pen" but with brushes set to accumulate its not bad at all and definitely a step up from the mouse. Duet is on the ios store for around $10 it has a pc app as well as osx although I haven't tried that but on an old macbook pro and just usb2 ports its pretty responsive.

The wacom tablets seem aimed at artists, i've not got the hand eye coordination to be artistic but tracing over the things i want to remove in my photos , I can do that. :)
