OOPS!! Sorry, but my previous post said to buy the "F" version of the Godox.....I meant "N" for Nikon. "F" is for Fuji!

I'm very pleased with the SB-700 that I use with my D7500.

I usually buy used Nikon Speedlights. They are built like a tank, last for years and can be had for pennies on the dollar.
Usually you don't have compatibility problems if you upgrade to a newer Nikon camera.

The Godox...and don’t look back. Can be fully integrated with their studio units. Yongnuo can’t touch this. Have both.

i agree, GODOX or the Adorama and Amazon Store brand of it Flashpoint. They have some excellent flashes and strobes all integrated for most of the popular camera brands including radio/wireless ttl and HSS support. Look at the Li -ion powered flashes and the ad200 "pocket flash" which has roughly 3 times the power of a regular speedlight/flash the flashes all have built in iniversal receivers and with any combination of the camera brand specific triggers

You can get a used Nikon SB-26 for less than $100. It does everything the newer Nikon speedlights do, just not as much power. The power it has is way more than I can use. You can even trigger it remotely with your camera's pop up flash.

I tend to agree with you that a Nikon would last longer but for my frequency of use I find my Yongnuo's hold up very well. For me I can purchase 3 Yongnuo's for the price of one SB 700 or five Yongnuo's for the price of one SB 5000. I've owned Nikon flashes in the past and they ae great speed lights but I get the same results from my Yongnuo's for a lot less money.

I have 3 600 EX-RT's from Yungnou and they all are just falling apart!

I sold all but 2 of my Nikon flashes and went with Yongnuos. I prefer the 2 685s that I use most, but other than a battery door failure on a 565, which cost me all of $3 for the repair part on Ebay, haven't had a failure with some very heavy (wedding) usage. My SB-900 overheated when you just looked at it. No issues at all with the powerful 685s. If you are wanting a SB800, PM me and we may be able to come up with a deal. (and I'll buy another 685)

Have 2 YN-685's use them with my Canon cameras. Have never had an issue with them and the price was right. I use them on and off camera. They work great....

I use both SB800 and Nissin i40. I like SB800 better than SB900/910 because it has optional 5th battery for quick recharge time.
I like the Nissin for its shorter height (hence pocket-able) with the same output level as SB800.
I own SB800 for more than 10 years without any problem.

I try to use Nikon products on my Nikon gear. I use a Nikon SB 910 on my D7100 and D7200 bodies.

SB-700....best bang for the buck, does everything, even commander mode! ISO 100 GN = 120 ft or more....its got light for days! Flawless operation, perfect performance.
Just get one!

I agree. I bought a refurbished SB-700 from Nikon. Saved about 30% vs new and just like new. Go for it...
