Track drive and guides indicate it was some sort of dozer accessory. Not sure exactly what it did though.
Cables indicate it was for lifting. Possibly the rear if a dozer with the winch for lifting the blade?

It appears to be part of the frame of an old either D5 or D6 Caterpillar bulldozer

It's a Transformer that got caught in mid transformation.

Looking at the toothed wheel it is probably a cable pulled ore cart to bring heavy loads of rock out of a mine or a quarry. Where was the shot taken?

Thanks MT...Looking at the next post from chikid68, believe he may be right...chassis is removed and it is the frame of a Cat D5 or D6. Appreciate you helping to ID.

Clearly NOT a Cat D5 as all Cat dozers from D2 up were hydraulic blade lift, not cable. More likely older International, Cat or Allis Chalmers cable dozer from WW II or earlier as many of them used the rear winch cable lift system like your example.

That was my initial too that it was something to do with mining...now thinking it is the frame of a Cat D5 or D6. Thanks for looking and your suggestions!!

Thanks for following up Carter...I know zilch when it come to heavy equipment. Appreciate your info...when there photographing this monster best I could come up with was some sort of bucket puller for mining purposes. I did notice it had English and Canadian patents...I'll post a photo of them.

Don't think you can read them...too faded and worn.
