In "Photo's" i moved all my photo's to an external hard drive. I removed the hard drive and later reconnected it to make sure the photo's were there and they were so i removed the hard drive from my computer and deleted the photo's in the "photo's" app. Now, they are not on my hard drive and they are not in the recently deleted nor in my trash bin. I need some space on my computer. At first when i backed up my computer to the EHD(external hard drive) i thought i could find the photo's on the hard drive but i learned it doesn't work that way. Then i spent many hours moving the files of pictures to the EHD and it worked but if i delete them from my computer (even with the EHD disconnected) they are also removed from my EHD and to top it off I can't find them on my computer because they didn't go to the trash bin and they are not in the "recently deleted" in "photo's". Any kind advice is appreciated. Mac OS HIgh Sierra.

Have you contacted Apple support?
yes but no matter what topic i choose it said there was "no support" for this issue. What do you store your photo's on? Why would the photo's disappear from my EHD just because i deleted them from my computer? I may just go somewhere for help.
Go into the folder marked “imports.” It’ll be in the Photo app, and on the left side of your folders, toward the top. All of your imported photos should still be there. You’ll just have to reput them in the appropriate folders. This is where I found the photos that I thought were lost forever. Let me know if it works.

Why did you remove the computer HD?
No, they are not there. I am just sick. Thanks for your help. When i updated this mac i was removed from icloud so they are not there. I will contact support.
Thank you. There has got to be a way to recover them.
They HAVE to be somewhere.

did you call 800 MYAPPLE?
Any photos deleted from hard drive are saved for 30 days in Photos in the cloud.
They are in the “Recently Deleted” album.
They may be lurking somewhere, so if you have any of the file names do a search with both of the hard drives in question connected to your computer. Note, the MAC finder is not what it used to be, so first install a third party search tool, I use EasyFind, it's free at the Mac App store.
Good luck.
Once upon a time I accidentally deleted info from a zip drive and a hard drive. Very valuable info was lost, (ie IRS Tax info and other business records). I thought I was doomed and searched the internet for help. I found this and it saved my life. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. It recovered all the information lost on the hard drive and zip drive. One happy boy, to say the least. Hope this helps you. Kevin

How true!
What you really need to do is to find a local computer expert that you can pay to check all of this out. If your files are to be found, they will find them.
