Beautiful shots, Merry and yummmmm..... my son has four huge bushes in his yard that produce the biggest blueberries that the birds love... last year he built a frame around them and netted them... we finally got to enjoy the fruits of his labors!!

we tried using netting a few years ago, but the bushes got so big
we stopped. we pick and freeze a few quarts each year, and nibble
on them a lot when we're outside. i make a mean blueberry pie and
blueberry pudding cake and i'll bet you do too. we freeze some of them too.
thank you for your comment, angela!

Love love love blueberries...great shots!!

i wonder if you sneaked in the yard and gobbled some of the
berries last summer. birds like them, and squirrels like them,
and deer like them, so why not raccoons? lol. thank you for
your comment, bob. i love love love blueberried, too!

thank you donna...that's a wonderful description of how the blooms look...they seem prettier this year, for some reason.
a few years back we had about 45 blueberry bushes, and we actually picked and don sold them to people he knew at
the golf courses, and we gave a lot of them to friends and neighbors and family. if we didn't go out and pick every day,
the birds would enjoy eating them, and then suddenly one day all the berries would be gone! through the years we have
lost quite a few of the bushes because of dry weather and no rain, and now there only about 20 bushes left, and only
10 of them have blooms...i think the cold weather had something to do with that. it sure is nice to be out there with my
camera, and grab a snack of those yummy berries. i pick some for blueberry pies and blueberry pudding cake, but mostly
just nibble on them.
thank you donna...that's a wonderful description o... (show quote)

They're not my bushes to make all those delicious things... my son only gives us a bag or so and I eat them in my cereal.
Did you try pruning your bushes... if you look on youtube they tell you how. I told my son to prune his down and he listened and that year he had the most and biggest blueberries ever!!

we have pruned them several times through the years, but not recently.
there are 3 bushes i like the best that have the big juicy berries. the other
bushes have sweet berries, but they are smaller ones. if we were neighbors
i'd invite you to come and pick all you want!

Beautiful shots, Merry! Hope you get to taste some of the blueberries before the birds eat all of them!
