A couple of days ago, my wife handed me an envelop of negatives; family photos shot in the 1940's. "Can you do anything with these?" she asked. Bringing back 65 images, most shot before she was born gave me fun Saturday. Among the photos - her parents wedding pictures that she had never seen.

I see thatyou live in Quincy Ma. There must be a photo lab in or near Boston, that can help you. Or maybe a graphics outfit that will transfer them to a Disc so that you can import them to your PP program

It's easy to bring them into PS. Scan the negative, the invert it. You've got the photo. Adjust the contrast or get fancy with Lightroom. You don't need a lab, just a scanner.
