I took out my new Canon 80D today with a Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 lens attached. Why did I get these black areas in the corners of the photo. This has never happened with this lens before.

Hay Man, the hood in crooked. Need to turn it 90 degrees left or right, your choice.

My bet is you just ignored the rest of the thread.....

Not exactly. Most of the time, having two jobs that occupies ~4000+ per year, I don't always have enough time to read lots of pages. Sometimes I just give an answer and hope to read the subject later like this time.

What's wrong with you people?

Did no one notice the only CORRECT response that I posted.

Turn the lens hood to the left by 1/8 turn to position it correctly!!!

Turning it either left or right by 90 degrees will just block the other two corners.

Did you flunk out of geometry???

end of rant

Sounds like you are spreading yourself thin. Why waste your time answering something you don't have time to read? You didn't really think that by page 2 nobody figured it out. Nothing wrong with answering, but if time is precious to you at this point ...

Someday you will hopefully be retired and have all the time in the world ... like me.

No one cares buddy. Stop rationalizing your laziness. You are not the only one who works in here. Stop bringing the stupid subject with every post.

My wife and I are working our way to where you are. There have been some hard times for us, but what's life if nothing "interesting" happens in it. I am hoping to drop one of the jobs no later than next year. Then maybe I will have some time to get into the mountains here in Colorado to really work on my photography.

Right now I am relegated to around the house and "vacations". Fortunately, my wife is the sole proprietor and agent of her travel agency and I am "forced" to take photos of the places we go for her travel site and blog. It still doesn't stop her from saying "Why are you taking so many pictures? Can't you just take one or two?" or "We've been here ten minutes! Haven't you taken enough pictures already?" The good news is she likes and uses a lot of the photographs and sometimes I have wondered who's great screensaver picture is on her computer - only to find out it's one of mine that I didn't remember.

You have obviously never 4000+ hours in a year's time for you to say "Stop rationalizing your laziness." And there are a handful of other people at my one job that work almost as much with just that job and they are hardly lazy.

I am sorry. I didn't realize you were military. The military we work for are usually the only people we know that work more than 11 or 12 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. My apology.

Your knowledge about the different kind of works is limited, possibly like your intellect. I guess you were never too smart in the first place. Again....READ the thread before commenting stupid crap or, better yet shut up. No one here needs to hear your pathetic excuses revolving around your work.
