Many thanks, Bob! Must be about time for you to be planning your spring migration? Have a eafe journey!

You did very well, Bob. I really like the second one, with its curving lines. I find white hard to shoot digitally, as it seems to not have much detail. You nailed it. May I ask your settings? Did you underexpose?

Bob, gorgeous little flowers and a double download shows off the sharpness you were able to get.

Morning, Greg! Once in a while, I get full value out of a $4 cone of cut flowers. It is nice when you can control the lighting and positioning while your subject waits patiently. Thanks for visiting, Greg!

Thank you very much! I am flattered that you asked. I shoot dark (underexposed) about 99% of all my shots...with my EXTREME lack of technical skills (editing) I can lighten fairly competently but have no success at all recovering even moderately burned out photos. I am attaching an unedited shot (just as it came out of the camera), and a copy of the same shot that has been cropped and edited to demonstrate the results. The settings of the second photo of this post (White Aster) are: Canon 7D Mark II, 100mm f/2.8 macro, 1/1,000, f/5.6, ISO 100, Exposure bias= .7 (Exposure bias), spot metering, shutter priority.
