Well after trying to see a Bald Eagle and get a picture, today was the day.
On vacation in Florida and went for a bike ride on the West Side Trail near Orlando. Wasn't expecting to see any birds but put the 6d and the Sigma 150-500 in my carrier bag. Four kilometres into my ride and there it was, a nest with two young eagles and one of the adults. This is one that I thought was a little different, the adult feeding the youngster, too bad the tree blocked the view of most of the young one.
Getting any closer wasn't an option but I wish I had strapped the tripod onto the bicycle.
Awesome picture and a so much fun to watch them!
A GREAT opportunity and well executed - with impressive focus. .......thanks for sharing

Fabulous shot. IMO, you got the really important thing - beak to beak feeding.

Thanks for the comment Cindy, I sat and watched for half an hour, it was amazing! Although the Bald Eagles are making a comeback back home in Ontario I have not been able to see one there yet, this was a treat.

Thanks for your comment, I could see from my spot on the ground the adult ripping a fish apart and feeding the baby, I finally got the timing right on this press of the shutter button.
That's a beautiful subject you captured here. Good job.

that was probably one of the happiest bike rides you ever took.
it's a beautiful eagle shot, hs.
Incredible image. It looks like you are almost on the eagle's level. Normally, they build their nest so high its often difficult to see into the nest. This is truly a great capture.
