We dont get much snow where I live in England......were fairly near to sea level I think, so when we do get some its a bit of a novelty. These pics were the first outing with my new 16-35 lens and I must say Im pretty pleased with the results. Thought Id share a few pics

Love your photos! I live in New England, USA [Vermont] and we just got 8" of wet heavy snow. More coming Tuesday night. Very pretty when the trees are covered with snow, but it also coats power lines. We had power outages two days in a row. I'm not complaining - I love snow! And no power means I something else besides watch TV and play on my computer...

Enjoy your snow while it lasts!

I think that you are going to have a lot of fun with your new lens. I have had a Nikon 18-35mm for some time and I have been wondering if I should "upgrade" to a lens like yours. Perhaps now, after seeing your images, I will.

Cheers.......when it snows here the entire country grinds to a halt....weve only had it for a week and the transport system experienced mass carnage!......its probably as well that it all seems to be melting today

Your wide lens does good things with a composition like this! Very nice shots.

Why not split the difference with an af-s Nikkor 17-35mm for two grand?

I actually already have a Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-3.5 that does a good job. I think if I did give in to GAS, I'd get a Nikkor 14-24mm. "Go Big or Go Home."
