Through my studies on how to use Photoelements, I came across a video on NIK and how to use it. It’s a fantastic package and in some areas better than the controls in Photoshop. The collection is FREE but it may not be for long. So if you have PhotoElements/Photoshop, you’ll want to add these tools. The link can be found @
https://nikcollection.dxo.com/. They’ll send you a confirmation email and then a link to the download. Mine installed into PhotoElements 2018 with no problems but there are others that have had difficulty. Enjoy!
Thank You. You saved me an afternoon's worth of hide and seek, internet style.
I purchased Nik a few years ago and have enjoyed it so much I didn't mind when Google first started offering it free. I'm looking forward to seeing what DxO offers in near future - and how much it will cost
Regarding Elements 2018, the first two times I tried to use the free Nik with it, I had issues. Couldn't figure out why sometimes I'd open PSE and be able to access 1 or 2 or 3 modules, and then the next time couldn't - or the "accessible" ones would change.
Had to re-install Windows 10 to a new computer (virus) and when I downloaded PSE 2018 again, and then Nik, the Nik Collection all worked - with zero glitches. Still have no idea why.
Who knows. Glad you figured it out.
thanks. There was also a post I found (can't find it now) that had several tutorials listed. Anyway, I bought the NIK book on Amazon.
