Beautiful shots with nice framing.
Excellent series of photographs.
The last photograph with the horse and rider gives the area perspective.
Well taken.

That place is on my bucket list. Very nice shots.
I saw another picture of a man on a horse years ago. I thought: "right place at the right time." Three years ago I was going to the area and said: "I wonder if I could be lucky enough to see a cowboy on a horse." When I got there I found out that it's his daily job. He charges people to have their picture taken on a horse/donkey. Did not want a close picture because of all the donky doo doo. Went far away (like in this picture)....waited for everyone to leave out of the picture and took the shot. Wanted it to look "old" but could not get a quick shot without now day cars. LOVE the picture anyway.
Great shots .., including the horse story .., I wondered about that ... Id pay um ...give him one of my Walkie Talkies and then radio to him the poses I want him to strike as I click away .. one would be no saddle .. Indian Head dress .. long rifle .. etc .. yes it would cost me ...but Iād have pics looking like the 1800ās but taken with a D810 ..š
Thanks to all of you that commented on the pictures. Monument Valley is well worth the trip if you tie it into a visit to Arches and Canyonlands near Moab, UT. Arches is a must see and Monument Valley is roughly halfway between Moab and Page, AZ where the Antelope Canyons are located. It is an excellent trip to tie all three of those places together in one 2 to 3 day trip (or longer).
To clarify re the horse, it is a rental and I think the hippy on the horse paid the Navajo horse owner to take his picture. He was out there when I arrived so I assume that is what happened. I originally (naively) thought the park paid the guy to go out there and sit on the horse to impress the tourists. It cost ten bucks sit on the horse and get your pic taken.
Arches, Monument V. and the slot canyons are definitely worth the effort to get there.
Thanks again to everyone for their comments.
