This is growing on Monkey Island, Oklahoma outside the condo where we are staying. Never saw anything like it but have seen several in the area.

Hard to tell without leaves, but could be a weeping crabapple. If so, in a few months it will be stunningly covered with white or pink flowers! Post some photos when it blooms!

Looks like maybe a weeping Cherry. Either Pink flowers or the white flower variety. https://www.thespruce.com/weeping-cherry-trees-2131198

It is growing by water so I would go with Weeping Willow. Why don't you ask someone there what it is?

That's what I was thinking. Far from the best shot in the world but this is our white, weeping cherry in bloom

I think you nailed it! Wish I could be here in Springtime to see it.
Thanks

This is definitely an ornamental weeping cherry tree. You can tell by the root structure, as well as the branch structure.

I have both a crabapple tree and a weeping cherry tree. In this photo, the crabapple tree is the "hot" pink one in the foreground, and the lighter pink tree in the background is the weeping cherry tree.

Really appreciate your pic. Might check one out when I get home. Gotta know if it will be happy in Texas heat.

The weeping cherry, if kept watered, will do fine, but I doubt the crabapple would. They have a tendency to drop their leaves here in PA by late August when it's gets hot.

My impression is that it is an osage orange, also known as 'bois de arc', or in southern colloquial terms, 'bowdock'. Notice the curved, bow-like branches, especially around the upper left part of the image.

We have lots of the bois d’arc around here. Worthless trees. I’m sure it’s not one of those.
Thanks

The weeping cherry trees have pronounced curved, bow-like branches as well.
