Went out with Coastal Expeditions last Sunday looking for the elusive Long-billed Curlews that stop by on their migration. We managed to see two of them after a few hours of searching. Along the way we ran into some rare Whimbrels and a host of other shorebirds including Dowachers, Oystercatchers, Pelican, Double-crested Cormorants, Willets and a few only some of the 35 or so birders on board could identify. Here are a few of the shots. The Wimbrels and Long-billed Corlews were long distance since we didn't want t stress them out as they rested for the long migration. Hope you enjoy them!
