Hello UHH community. I just wanted to share info about a great versatile line of camera straps. Tom Fama of BosStrap is the owner, and makes all these himself. I have two 1.5 inch wide straps for my full size cameras, and just got a 1 inch wide one today for a bridge camera. Mine are all cross body, letting the camera hang at your hip, where you can sort of steady it with your hand so it does not swing around. There is no padding, so it goes into any camera case or bag without taking up much space. The straps all have a slider, to let you bring the camera to eye height, without moving the position of the strap. Best of all, the strap attaches to the camera strap lug, not the tripod socket. This is especially important for me as I keep a quick release mount tripod plate on the camera, and thus it is always ready to mount on a tripod. The products are great, and Tom is very customer focused - if you email him with a question on his products, typically he calls you within an hour or two to be sure you communicate clearly. If this type of product is of interest to you, suggest you check it out at

I can't believe he makes the webbing for the strap, casts the metal parts, and injection moulds the plastic parts. Is it safer to say he assembles them?

True. Unlike the camera strap lug, the tripod socket on some cameras is not designed to handle that kind of force.

I contacted Tom and he responded. He assembles the components of the strap from sources all over the world.
