R.G. thanks for your post - I have eaten 1,000s of Pasties but never one with "a sweet spot" I'll try to remember that the next time we make pasties for a get together. Harvey
You're welcome. Suggestion - don't make the sweet filling too runny. It could get a bit messy in the middle .
The pastys here came from the same location, Cornwall. Dean's mum is the source of the recipes, Dean's the owner. They are a complete meal, and quite tasty in all their varieties. --Bob
Nice image. I wonder how the pasties are. Living in Michigan, I have had an awful lot of "authentic" cornish pasties that are just awful! The best ones are made by a senior center in Calumet, way up in Copper Country.
These are exceptionally good. Dean, the gentleman who owns the place, is from Cornwall. The majority of the recipes, if not all of them are his mum's. He's exceptionally precise about his chef staff making each pasty exactly to the quantities called out in the recipe books that he has had printed and given to each of the chefs.
A friend of mine from England has eaten there was said he was quite impressed.
And, thank you for the compliment. --Bob
