Oops. Just realized it made the Attic. Not the first, and certainly not the last. I actually enjoyed reading some of the interesting threads. Some, not so much either. Bye.

To paraphrase the late President Ronald Reagan " Government is the problem".

If you think Reagan was such a great guy just remember he pushed to put all the crazies out on the streets
and close the mad-houses.....then they bred and now their kids and grand kids are possibly the ones killing
everybody they can with guns in schools.
in the beginning of this thread I watched some of the first link posted by Goofynewfy, was really depressing
(very good B&W photography btw) to see what some people can do to themselves......it's not my trip (Karma) in this
life to get involved in that world.....still got had a few times by crazy women mind you !
Edit:Just one more thing, they keep saying this opiod epidemic is killing more people than car accidents......nobody
mentions how many accidents are due to people on these drugs, which is troubling in itself !

I would have thought more worrying is that there is a significant number of addicts who became that way not through some street corner dealer but in doctors offices all over the United States.

It might be causing some of the road rage killings you hear a lot about these days. I doubt if anyone bothers to look into that. The crazies that are breeding and caused today's next batch of crazies are liberals.

theres plenty of crazy to go round. Seems most of the crazys i come across are self declared republicans. Not all republicans are crazy not all liberals or democrats are sane.

That's true. We've got a new Democrat senator here and I'm anxious to see how he works out. The last Democrat representative has been disappointing.

I don't know about giving the magazine away on line but that page is seriously impressive, there are some great techniques being used to manipulate the page as you scroll down without scrolling. I'll have to spend some time figuring out how they did that, its quite a game changer for web design.

Their is a new editor at time. I think he is taking risks because print is shrinking so fast.
I got the hard copy Time at home (get very few magazines in print just online)It was stunning
like going to a art gallery. How the readers react to it only time will tell.

To me documentary journalism is very important. I did a video years ago on the homeless in Philadelphia.
It helped raise funds and explained how local government and people who help allowed Sister Mary Scullion
build an amazing organization Project Home. Stills of the real world are an education for all of us to
be aware of what is going on that is beautiful and horrific.

I think that the media coming out of Vietnam exposed the real story that our guys had to deal with.
The picture of the first atom bomb cloud in Japan as the plane flew away is awesome and frightening.
Pictures of my grandson who is a child of autism tell a story captured of struggle and joy.
In the tombs where I was Egypt the graphics drawings were the photos of their world.
