Super-enjoyable series, Sylvia. #3 is a delight!

Thank you very much Linda for your lovely comments so pleased you enjoyed them.
When I went into the Serval enclosure there was nothing to see at all. The Ranger said we might not see any. Then as I stood still I had a feeling of being watched. There was a slight rustle and I turned and saw the eyes. It seemed a long time before she came out but it was so funny, she sat straight down, looked at me and this was the only one quick shot I got, off she went back into the brush. Then the male appeared.

Excellent series, Sylvia. I particularly like the Caracal - what a magnificent creature!

Pleased you enjoyed them Carol, thank you very much for your comments. The Caracal is one of my favourites, it has such a lovely coat and I think the markings on the face and those ears are beautiful. It was quite playful, trying to bite my foot, thankfully not the one with the broken toe!

....big cats from the Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre near Plettenberg Bay in South Africa. Just a couple more shots of the big cats as seen in my previous post, hope you enjoy the smaller kitties in this set too.

I was going to bin the first shot but changed to b/w.

The white lion is not an Albino, it carries a recessive gene which is responsible for the lack of pigmentation.

The seldom seen Serval is a wild cat native to Africa. Their primary prey includes rodents, birds, reptiles, fish, frogs and insects.

The Caracal also a wild cat native to Africa is typically nocturnal and lives mainly alone or in pairs, it preys on small mammals, birds and rodents. It can leap higher than (3 mtrs) 9.8 ft and catch birds in mid-air.

The Marabou stork (undertaker bird) is a massive bird, large specimens are thought to reach a height of 152 cm (60 in) and a weight of 9 kg (20 lb). A wingspan of 3.7 m (12 ft).

Another superb set of images Sylvia, the Caracal looks like a cross between a Links and a Puma.

I still hate cats, Sylvia, but you did do a good job of superimposing those "fancy" ears on that one cat. Your post processing has improved greatly!

Seriously, a very nice set, once again!

I like the birds.
