I asked what was the purpose of his thread and he proceeded to put me in his ignore list. I don't think that section has a bright future ahead of it. Not with that person as a moderator.

without restating your question, if there was one? It wasn't shown on the link...You came up against Ron decrying people asking stupid questions that no-one could give a definative answere to. Hey what's new? ask a stupid question get a stupid answere.

On UHH we do tend to get a lot of 'questions' that are merely asking for opinions....as advice. Adults should have the ability to make an informed opinion based on little bit of research....but an opinion is not necessarily a 'Fact'. So if you want information ask where to find 'the statistics' or the 'specifications' because they are facts. Only you know what is good for you, reading contradictory 'opinions' written by people who do not know you is a total waste of time and clogs up this forum.
After 3 years and over 2500 posts I guess that you should understand 'how to get the best' from this forum.....that is my opinion and it is probably wrong from your point of view.

Ron puts a lot of work into UHH - yes he is quirky at times, BUT sometimes the quality of topics and questions posted by some members leave a lot to be desired. If they are not to your taste -move on. There is an awful lot of info here to find. I see no reason to change it.

I'm okay with your opinion although I don't share it. I had hopes for that section but putting it on the hands of this person is severely affecting it. People are not invited to it and it's starting to show. That's why he posts this inane threads hoping to increase its traffic.

I do not understand why there is such a nasty group who think they have the "right" to interfere with what Ron is trying to do. I think his idea is great and it was not set up to play with everyone's opinion. He is including pros who give the best information they have and it is for their input only. What part of this do you not understand? If you want to play it as a blog for your ego, go to any of the other site and spout off. This was set up to help people who really want help and not just another site for lots of opinions. If you do not like it, ignore it. You always have that option. Guess you must not have found your "safe" place and are angry about it.

For him it is a clever way to have control. But you are free to believe what ever feels right to you.

Like the other poster above, wrongy put him on his looooong ignore list. Who does that? Anyone who questions him gets the same treatment. You can have him, and have fun doing it.
