I could be wrong but don't all egrets have white feathers. That looks more like something in the heron family.

It's called a reddish egret. Egrets and herons are in the same family.

Correction on location name: Alafia banks, not Alafia flats. Alafia river empties into the bay nearby. The banks are a series of small mangrove islands accessible only by pontoon boat.
