I took this shot of Mono Lake a number of years ago as I was traveling from Reno, NV to San Diego. The lake is situated in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range. I have always loved the rock formations out there but for one reason, or another, I never had stopped for photos. This time I was traveling alone AND had my camera with me.
You can download the image to your computer and edit it anyway that you wish. Composites, tonal shifts, lighting alterations, anything that you feel enhances or alters the photo creatively. Then, post your edit in this thread. Edits can be submitted until Thursday at around 9:00 pm. Then we will go to voting.
Thanks and enjoy.

Thanks for the opportunity donolea - here is my effort - cropped some off bottom of photo and added an amount of sky at the top. Did a bit of denoise, mainly for the clouds and a few tweaks on shadows and highlights.
EDIT: Did a bit more tidying up on the sky -r emoved some white streaks.
Cropping brought out the softness of the background, but I thought it focused on the best part of the scene.

LOL! I think they look right at home there. They'll stay until they can't afford the CA taxes anymore, then they'll head back to the North East waters.

Very nice. You need to let us in on how you did that.

I wonder if we have any of those in our lakes? I should go fishing more often!
